Where Ave Maria Kids Learn to Play — and Grow.

At IronRoot Athletics, we offer non-contact, non-competitive training for boys and girls ages 3–18. Whether your child is just starting out, looking to build on what they already know, or somewhere in between, we create a welcoming space for them to develop real skills while growing in confidence and character.

We serve homeschool and Catholic families — and every family who desires an environment where athletics supports the formation of the whole child: body, mind, and soul. Here, sport becomes a means for joyful discipline, virtue, and lasting personal growth, all rooted in faith and family values.

Why IronRoot

A different kind of youth athletics

We coach the whole athlete — body, mind, and soul — in an environment rooted in virtue and joyful discipline.

Faith-Friendly

A Catholic understanding of virtue, respect, and prayer is naturally woven into our practices. Faith is the foundation of how we coach, not merely an addition.

Safe & Non-Competitive

No tackling. No cuts. No tryouts. No travel teams. Every child is seen, encouraged, and supported in a safe space where they can learn without pressure.

Small Group Sizes

Capped at 12 athletes (often fewer). This allows each child to receive personal attention and genuine coaching.

Fundamentals First

We teach proper form and mechanics that build a strong foundation — skills that serve your child not only in sports but throughout life. We meet every child exactly where they are and help them grow from there.

Family Stories

From parents in our community

"This is a great program. My son has been excited every day to go, and he's never shown interest in sports before. It has built his confidence tremendously."
Allison
"My son had always been afraid of the football, and within two sessions his fear was completely gone — now he asks us to play catch every day. Coach Andrew clearly loves the game and has a gift with kids."
Lindsay
"Well planned, engaging, and my son loves it. I love the six-week format — not too short, not too long — and the morning schedule is perfect with the Florida heat. Very happy with the skills he's learning and really all of it."
Lauren
